Sapporo continued
Our second day in Sapporo was a little less ambitious.
We are starting to feel the effect of walking and exploring and walking and more walking everywhere. It's starting to set in that this trip isn't ending anytime soon and we may need to pace ourselves.
We spend the day exploring Sapporo and found our way to the TV Tower at sunset.
It's a stunning view from the observation deck, and reminded me greatly of the view from the top of the Eiffel Tower, if only a bit smaller.
We watched a cloudy sunset and found our way to some dinner
Im sure you have heard of all the Cat Cafe's in Japan- but did you know about OWL cafes? We stumbled on a feeding at the owl cafe in Sapporo...cool but weird.
Now time for the Max and Dan feeding... Can you guess what WE had?
Ramen! We got a recommendation on a local spot from a bartender we chatted with, and it proved to be a unique experience. The broth was dark and tasted like French onion soup. The noodle were dense and firm.
Ending our time in Hokkaido, we left feeling really happy we made the journey. The north has its own charm, and learning more about the history of Japan, we were really excited to travel south and see some of the older cities.
